If you're new to your phone or camera, it's normal to feel confused and intimidated by settings, strange terms, and conflicting advice. Instead of getting lost in long videos... get patient, step-by-step teaching that meets you where you are and helps you build real confidence through simple, practical training.

I've spent over a decade helping people get more out of their cameras. Before that, I spent years in electronics retail, making complicated tech feel simple and fun to use, and I've spoken at the International Consumer Electronics Show. Tech education is in my bones.
After 12 years as a published travel photographer, I now shoot fine art photography with my pro digital cameras (regularly have shot with Nikon, Canon, and Sony) and smartphones, so whatever you shoot with, I can help. I created the C.L.E.A.R. Shot Method to give photographers a clear, step-by-step path from confused to confident, and my sessions follow that same approach. No rushing. No assuming you already know something. No leaving you behind.
We work at your pace, in plain language. It's not just about answering the questions you bring. I can see where you're getting stuck, including the things you might not know to ask about yet. You leave with real answers you can use right away.

Three simple steps to help new phone and digital camera owners learn practical skills, get one-on-one teaching, and build confidence behind the lens.
Tell us about your device, experience level, and what you'd like to learn. I'll prepare a short, practical plan focused on beginner-friendly basics. Adjustments will made during the conversation on the call.
Join a private one-on-one Zoom teaching session where I'll guide you through your phone or camera settings, demonstrate simple shooting techniques, and provide step-by-step instruction to build confidence.

I used to dread taking photos at home. The 1-on-1 teaching session made window light simple — now our family photos look clear and natural, and I actually print a few for the wall.

My editing was a mess. A teacher walked through my photo catalog on Zoom and gave me a simple workflow that saves hours — I now make wall prints I'm proud to hang.

I struggled to direct people. The teaching exercises during our call gave me easy scripts to relax subjects — my family photos feel more natural and my social posts get people to stop scrolling.

I kept buying lenses hoping my photos would improve. The teaching focused on mastering my 50mm first — now my prints look great and our home is filled with photos I'm proud of.

Choose a time that works for your schedule. All one-on-one teaching sessions are conducted via Zoom with live screen sharing, step-by-step guidance, and hands-on help with your phone or digital camera settings to build your confidence.
You don't need a studio full of expensive equipment to create breathtaking images. Focus on the art of seeing, and the rest will follow. Review our most common questions or reach out directly to [email protected]
It's helpful as a resource but not required. My ebooks remind you of many of the things I cover in the sessions, but you don't have to own them to schedule. Sessions are open to any photographer, whether you shoot with a smartphone or a digital camera, no matter your experience level.
Surprisingly effective. By sharing screens, we can review your raw files, walk through post-processing edits in real-time, and analyze lighting setups step-by-step just as we would in a physical studio.
